For this mural we first determined the placement of the baseball taking into consideration the placement of the bed. We wanted to be able to see the baseball on either side after the bed was set. Then we drew the outline of the ball with a pencil and taped it off using Flex Tape a bendable tape from Easy Mask.
To insure the paint wouldn’t bleed under the tape, we first brushed the wall color over the edge of the tape. This will give us a nice clean line once the tape is pulled. The base color of the baseball was painted using Sherwin Williams Latte and Origami White with a Woolie Pad. All the details were painted using acrylics and a baseball for reference.
